Zoji La
The zoji La pass, a 3,528 m (11,575 ft) high mountain is the gateway to Ladakh when coming to Srinagar. In 1987 the Manali Leh road was not finished yet. The Srinagar Leh was the only motorised way to get to Ladakh by bus or truck.

Achi, small stupa
Alchi is famous because of its monastary complex, one of the oldest in Ladakh. It is stituated at ça 3200 meter hign.
A stupa or choten is a monument symbolizing the body speech and mind of the Buddha. They are mostly placed at Crossroads to stop people in their tracks and remind them of the awakened state of mind.
